Forever this. Come on now, it’s just common sense.

This will probably cause me unnecessary trouble, but I beg to differ. First of all, it depends on which drugs you’re talking about. For example, heroin, cocaine and crack can really hurt people taking them and their families, but the same does not go for pot. The only argument sustaining it’s prohibition is that it may damage your lungs and brain. However, shouldn’t that, as well as “their social lives” (?) be no one’s concern but the person taking it? Because alcohol and cigarettes are just as dangerous, but are legalised due to stronger lobbies and cultural acceptance. The point here is that war on traffick harms more people than drugs ever did. 

So no, it’s not the same as saying “legalise drunk driving”. A person high on pot is harmless, whereas a drunk driver can and possibly will hurt others.
